Aaron is an illustrator & designer who spends his off hours in Montréal cafés sketching eclectic profiles and whittling away at the Great Canadian Novel. His career path has been as eclectic as the profiles he sketches.
At age 8, he dove into physical theatre with the Wooster Group in New York City, and studied the form for many years before getting a degree in Contemporary Dance at Concordia University in Montréal. That career ended early when he dove a little too dramatically off of a stage on one opening night.
Afterwards, he developed his skills in writing and art, two interests which had until that point only been hobbies. While he has yet to complete the Great Canadian Novel, he worked for years as a copywriter for various advertising agencies in Montréal, including a couple with online retail developer Mon Manniquin Virtuel.
As designer and illustrator, he spent two years with Vajradhatu Publications in Halifax, Nova Scotia‹the city of 10,000 kindnesses‹before following his fiancée back to Montréal in 2004, where he is currently setting up shop. The jurys still out on a name, but it might include KnottyTimes. Stay tuned!
