Atlas Economic Research Foundation - After

Solution:
The idea for this logo was to create a world based on dots--which represent the international, worldly connections Atlas makes every day. In addition, the dots give the world a mosaic look, which contribute to Atlas's image of international reach and all types of people coming together from different backgrounds. The organization wanted to keep some type of reference to the old logo so that their clients would be able to more easily identify them. To achieve this, I included the lines of a globe and made the typographic focus on the "A" in Atlas, similar to their old logo. In addition, the "A" and "T" hold up the globe as a reference to the mythological figure, Atlas, holding up the world on his shoulders. I designed the logo in two colors to keep costs down for their printed materials. The red and blue were chosen to represent the academic and scholarly side of Atlas, while the font, Copperplate Gothic, was chosen for it's classic yet streamlined look.

We are in the process of applying this new design approach to their overall identity, including letterhead, business cards, envelopes, and notepads. This new visual identity will also affect the design and look of their new office space.
