HROI Capital Solutions Tear-off Postcard - Before
by Habib Bajrami, Principal of Bytehaus Studio

Background:
HROI, Canada's leading provider of human capital solutions put together a tear-off postcard for a direct mail campaign. The tear-off portion was intended to fit a standard business card holder and be used as a future contact reference.

Being created in MS Word, the postcard was a challenge, if not impossible, to be printed by a commercial printer, so Bytehaus Studio was hired to re-build the postcard so it would conform to printing standards.

The card had a few design flaws; the front was too dark and not very friendly, and the tear-off portion had no meaningfull message. The back was too cluttered and would not pass the post office standards unless mailed in an envelope.

Bytehaus Studio recommended a total redesign. Due to budget constraints, one solution was presented to the client; after one set of revisions, the postcard hit the press.
