AFTER:

AFTER Design Elements:
The solution was creating two sub-sites, targeted to each audience.
To increase the cross-branding opportunities, and save some
dough, the same layout was used for both sides of the site.
The colors and content tone were adjusted to appeal to each
audience's sub-site. The two sides are supported with their
own targeted e-newsletters, Inspirations and Trend Talk, which
are published every other week. They each utilize the branding
elements from their side of the site including color, typography
and images.
The designs feature a photo of Kathy, which provides a friendly, approachable,
emotional point-of-contact with the audience. Since the primary goal of the redesign
was to have audience members contact her about giving a presentation, her email
address and telephone number appear throughout the sites.
A secondary goal was to promote and sell her books. This is primarily focused
toward the Inspriational side of the audience. A "Books" page appears
on the Trends side as well to capture any potential sales from that side of
the market. A linked book cover graphic is displayed on the Inspirations-side
home
page as, well as appearing deeper within the site. These link to directly to
her books on Amazon.com.
In addition, we are able to whet the audiences' for Kathy's presentations through
the use of video and audio excerpts from several of her previous presentations.
To date, the site and e-newsletters have been a significant success with continually
increasing traffic and subscribers.
Traffic is up. Branding is clear. Ain't life grand?
The site can be found at:

This brings the visitor to a site portal where they can choose either side of
the site.
Alina's Feedback:
Neil has done an excellent job of solidifying
an information-loaded site. Previously, the photo of his
client Kathy was a bit lost on the page due the small size,
vignette edge treatment, and location of her photo on the
page. Now her presence
is much stronger and friendly, also holding more authority
due to its weight, location and clarity. All the information
is easy to read and find due to different colored backgrounds
that serve to organize bits of individual information, all
the while, still looking cohesive. The colors and look are
friendly and inviting, yet also professional.
