Background:
Word of mouth brought this client to my door. She had seen
how I helped another local small business owner improve their
marketing, and in return, grow their business to the point where
they could no longer take on any more work. This client wanted
to see that same effect on her business, and we were glad to
help.
It quickly became apparent that the primary problem was
a lack of identity. The client's business was her name which
was used
inconsistently. Her business name offered no clue to what she
does or to what service she provides. Her web site describes
the business a little better, but it still lacks a strong identity.
This
client did, however, have some great ideas; she just didn't
know how to use them. She told me she wanted to make her
van the 'Glove Mobile.' She sells latex gloves to medical
facilities,
doctor offices and dental clinics all around the Willamette
Valley, so the name was very apropos to her business.
Our
design challenge was to create a new direction for her
identity which included considering a new name, slogan and
marketing strategy.
