Background:

Mindola Software Company contacted me in regards to redesigning the application icon for their product. The application is called 'Super Notecard,' a great application for both OSX and XP that gives the user an interactive notecard for developing presentations, speeches, outlines and anything a regular old analog piece-of-paper notecard could only dream of becoming.

After looking at their software, I could see their current icon was not living up to the quality of the product it was suppose to represent. The bottom image is the splash screen you see when launching the product.

As with any icon design, the challenge was to create a fast, easy-reading representational mark for the product and have it work well with the operating system.
