Sometimes a specific
subject or theme captivates my imagination. A few weeks back
I watched an Animal Planet show that helped an injured owl
to recover and then set it free once it was healed. The look
of the owl fascinated me, their eyes drew me in and I thought
to myself "I have to illustrate one. They are just too
stinkin' cool."
Over Christmas, I sketched out this idea and illustrated it for no other reason
then to entertain myself, and capture in my own style, an owl in his natural
environment.
Of course the tree was fun to create as well.
