Katz-i Design International takes first place in ADA design competition

SE Asia: Katz-i Design International has once again been honoured with an American Design Award (ADA) for its Brunei Music Society (BMS) concert poster. The piece placed first in the poster segment of the competition. This is the second award received by Katz-i from ADA is as many months.

The poster was widely distributed throughout Brunei as a vehicle to promote the BMS' Dinner Concert, "La Scala to Broadway and back." The full colour design features a unique illustrative style developed by Katz-i Design International which playfully blends both photography and digital illustration.

The BMS poster can also be found in ‘The Savvy Designer's Guide To Success: Ideas and Tactics for a Killer Career’ by Jeff Fisher.

ADA's Winter Semi-Annual Design Contest is one of two semi-annual competitions open to design firms, corporate art departments, and advertising agencies. The American Design Awards was established to recognize individual artists, graphic design firms and companies that value the art of visual communication on an ongoing basis, through fair judging criteria by real-life design professionals. A.D.A. also holds an on-going Monthly Design Contest.

Based in the UK and SE Asia, Katz-i Design International specializes in aiding the expatriate community by unifying creativity with culture, for a blend of print and web-based communication. The Katz-i team of designers, writers, photographers and programmers focuses on the subtlety required when communicating between Eastern and Western cultures. Their award-winning site can be found at www.katzidesign.com.

In addition, Katz-i is a cofounder of Fast Coconut, a partnership of several groups with various skill sets who team up for the development of large scale web-based projects.
