6 July 2005

(Madison, Wis., US) - Wesley Grubbs joins Planet Propaganda as interactive media director responsible for managing, developing and producing creative interactive media projects for such passion-based brands as Gary Fisher mountain bikes, Bretford furniture and workspaces, and PunchStock royalty-free images.

Drawing from a strong knowledge of both client strategy and the interactive processes, Grubbs most recently served as director/developer for Diphthong Interactive Design, a small-sized interactive company with offices in the U.S. and Singapore. Its clients included the Walton Arts Center in Arkansas, Queens Library in New York, Annenberg Foundation of Pennsylvania, Columbia Theological Seminary in Georgia, D.C. Water and Sewage Authority (DCWASA), Webcrafters and Maddox Design Works of Wisconsin.

During the past decade, Grubbs' professional experiences and studies have led him around the world. After completing a degree in international economics, he took a position as a network technician and Webmaster in Düsseldorf, Germany. He moved on to work in Croatia as an independent Web designer, developer and consultant for leading European clients like Philips Automotive, TUI Travel Center, Raiffeisen Bank and VDO Dayton, for which he built Web sites and Web solutions in more than a dozen countries and in eight languages.

Grubbs speaks four languages and is fluent in 15 IT languages. Continuing his studies in the U.S., he returned to his home state and earned a master's degree in information systems specializing in software management from the University of Arkansas. Following graduation, Grubbs relocated to Madison, Wis. where he enjoys motorcycles, scuba diving, building puzzles and meeting people. In his words, "I'm very fascinated with the way information is and can be used and interpreted and consider one of my life-long goals to help people interact with complex information as clearly and with as little misinterpretation, frustration as possible."

Planet Propaganda is a design, advertising and interactive company committed to shaping passion-based brands. Founded in 1989 in Madison, Wis., Planet's national clients include Gary Fisher mountain bikes, Bretford furniture and workspaces, and PunchStock royalty-free images.
