Ohio Photographer,
Shawn Wood, featured in Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
art collection
North Canton, OH: Two images by North Canton,
Ohio photographer, Shawn Wood of Studio 7 Photographic Illustration,
have been
selected to be put on permanent display in the Cleveland Hopkins
International Airport's art collection. The addition of Mr.
Wood's work aligns with the Airport's 80th Anniversary Celebration
event on Wednesday, July 27, 2005.
The images, titled, "The new Rock and Roll Hall of
Fame, 1995" and “The new Browns first touch
down, 1999" depict moments in the city’s rich
history.
In addition to the Airport collection, Wood's work has
also hung at the Cleveland Museum of Art, as well the Massillon
Art Museum. The photographer has won numerous awards for
photographic excellence. Since 1985, Studio 7 has focused
on creating dynamic images for local, regional and national
companies, advertising agencies and publications. In addition,
Mr. Wood is also the official photographer for the Pro
Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement.
For the past 80 years Cleveland Hopkins International
Airport has quietly served as the front door to Cleveland.
It has an impressive history in the field of aviation and
is one of the city’s oldest and most understated
landmarks. Over the years it has grown to become a major
catalyst and lynchpin to Cleveland’s economic development.
It provides 10,000 jobs to Northeast Ohio employees and
