Glitschka Studios launched a new 'Design' web site on 10.27.03. When asked about the new launch, principal Von Glitschka commented "Over the past two years Glitschka Studios has done more and more work with larger design firms and ad agencies. This niche of being a creative out-source for larger firms is the primary reason for the new web site launch. We thrive on these peer-to-peer relationships and the quality of work it allows us to produce has become very rewarding. That said, we also do many projects for start-up companies and smaller self employed businesses, with our specialty being logo and brand development. This new launch will also be supported with a full page ad appearing in the next 'WorkBook'."

Other news at Glitschka Studios:

Client:
Step by Step Publishing
Project: Linear Patriotic Illustrationsl
Notes: This project started out as a doodle. I had doodled the statue of liberty and had it on my studio wall for about a month when this project came along and the subject matter fit. So I talked the client into going with this linear style.

The hardest part about illustrating in this style is making sure it's recognizable. So before I created the art I ran my pencil sketches by my 9 year old daughter without explaining what I was doing and she was able to name what each one was. So I proceeded to final art.

Project: Oregon Business Magazine
Client: Cover Illustration
Notes:
This issues cover story was about how the 'Arts' can improve the business environment of a city. In this case Portland Oregon. Several areas had to be reflected on the cover Performing arts, Art in general, Music, Coffee, Biking, Tech and of course the skyline.
