Creative Latitude logo honored by Conecticut Art Directors Club

Greenwich, CT USA: In June 2003, the Creative Latitude logo was honored in the Conecticut Art Directors Club Annual Award Show with a Certificate of Excellence. Accompanying the CL logo, with awards to Balance Design, was a collateral brochure for Soundview Construction Advisors and the Balance Design website.

In July 2003, Balance Design was contacted through the Creative Latitude website to create a logo design for a company named Cheetah Turbo. The company owner had come upon the Creative Latitude site in her search for a logo designer. After reading the Creating a Winning Logo, article by Balance Design creative director Carey Numme, she was surprised to discover that they were within ten miles of each other. The client wanted a logo that evoked the same interest as the CL logo.

Soon Carey was at work using the same technique used on the creative latitude logo of listing elements of speed and mechanics that make the product unique. After several rounds of sketches combining elements of the speed of a cheetah and the visual of a turbo spinning, the client selected one that formed the "C" for cheetah as well. Once again, a winning solution was found and Creative Latitude continues working to bring together creatives with projects in their area.
