Success Story:
SPR Japan
After becoming the sole distributor of actor
Jean Reno's fragrance line in Japan, SPR required materials
for the release campaign of a limited edition scent for the
Japanese market. Materials were to span mediums, including
various print work, web and mobile content. A focal point of
the campaign was a monthly gift giveaway, which the client
wanted to use for gathering demographic information and user
signups for their internal mailing list.
When SPR Japan approached us with their web
needs, we offered to create all required materials. Printed
items designed included full-color magazine ads, press-release,
stickers, posters, scent cards and in store display. For the
web we updated current sites and created a “mini” mobile
site, which included contest registration and user management
features.
STi introduced the client to QR-codes, which allow users the
ability to visit a site by scanning a barcode with their mobile
phone. Unique codes were included on all printed materials
and a tracking system was developed to log which code users
scanned to visit the site.
Overall the campaign was success and the client gathered
more user registrations than expected. As users kept signing
up, the client was prompted to extend the contest for additional
months, continually gathering additional registrations until
the contest was officially ended.
The use of the QR-codes and tracking system, which Solid Thinking
suggested and implemented, permitted the client to review the
performance of each marketing piece, allowing for better judgment
as to where to invest in future advertising. They have continued
to use the system with various campaigns and advertising since. |
