James Watt wanted to display as many students work as possible in a limited exhibition space in the prestigious Lighhouse Gallery Glasgow. The Exhibition needed to have impact from the distance of the entrance doors to draw viewers, but still have detail and interest close too.
Redjelly came up with a unique design solution to do the job. Using a bold banner layout of 4 metres wide, the exhibition used 3 key images of significant size to produce the impact and then structured the piece using the 400 other works to produce a strong boundary structure. The exhibition art was InkJet printed onto a plastic substrate and coated with UV protection and then was fixed to Foamex mounting board. A set complimentary postcards were produced to provide contact details and allow visitors to take a sample of the artwork away with them.
The exhibition ran for 2 months and created great interest in the college. The exhibition material is still being used are part of the college roadshow.
