Small senegalese/french family business
with knowledge in producing body care products from natural/local
products (for ex. shea butter), based in Senegal, want to
expand, sell on Europena market where demand for natural/organic
is growing. Need packaging, and profile consistent with local/close/simple,
small business, heritage, (west-africa), natural, organic.
These
products used to be wrapped up in brown paper or scraps of
fabric when sold, we stay with this
idea of simplicity and handyness. And use west-african fabrics
patterns as a base for each package/simple wrapping paper...
Make these patterns modern by applying them to "updated
colors", let's call them trendy. Typography is kept
very simple, contrasting to the intricate patterns. The packages
are kept simple and printed on "basic" paperstock,
the wrappingpapers are printed on high fiber paper with one
side warnished tor protect from grease from soap/lotion bar
etc.
Client extatic that we managed to keep their heritage/culture
visable, but at the same time be available to a market
outside Africa. The products are now successful on the french
market,
near future goal is all of Europe.
